• Rose (Rosa spp.) has traditionally been used when emotional stress is being felt physically as well as mentally. Herbalists often reach for Rose during periods of grief, irritability, nervous tension and emotional upset, particularly when these are accompanied by a tight feeling through the chest, a fluttery or unsettled stomach, or difficulty relaxing.

  Rose can be particularly useful for people who feel emotionally wound up, easily upset or tense rather than simply tired or sleepy. It is not regarded as a heavy sedative.   How NatroVital Rose is Made

  We begin with organically grown red Rose petals and use an alcohol extraction process to draw compounds from the plant material that water alone may not extract as effectively. This includes the petals' naturally occurring tannins, flavonoids, aromatic compounds and other plant constituents.

  Once extraction is complete, the alcohol is gently removed under vacuum at low temperatures. Using a vacuum allows the alcohol to evaporate at a lower temperature, reducing the amount of heat applied to the extract. The concentrated Rose extract is then blended with vegetable glycerine and purified Grander water to produce the finished alcohol-free tincture.

  This process is very different from simply adding powdered Rose petals to a liquid. The plant material itself is removed after extraction, leaving behind the compounds that have been drawn from the petals. The result is a concentrated liquid extract that is easy to measure and can also be readily combined with other herbs when a more individual formula is required.

• ◄What is the recommended dosage for NatroVital Rose?

  The daily adult dose is 5 mL, divided into two serves of 2.5 mL — one in the morning and one in the evening. One mL is approximately 20 drops. Add each dose to a small glass of water or juice, drink immediately, and swirl the glass to ensure any remaining liquid is also consumed. Dosages may vary depending on individual needs and practitioner guidance.

  Rose can be combined with other NatroVital herbs and formulas depending on the symptoms being experienced:

  • For feeling emotionally wound up, irritable or overwhelmed: NS Calm can be used alongside Rose when emotional stress is making it difficult to relax, settle down or feel calm during the day.
  • For an overactive mind, nervous restlessness or difficulty switching off: Passionflower combines well with Rose when worry, repetitive thinking or nervous restlessness makes it difficult to relax.
  • For bloating, gas or flatulence that becomes worse during periods of stress: Digestive Support may be combined with Rose when emotional stress is clearly affecting digestion.
  • For emotional stress accompanied by a racing or pounding heartbeat: Motherwort can be combined with Rose when nervous tension or emotional upset is accompanied by an awareness of the heart beating faster or harder than usual.
