    NatroVital Organic Ginger - 100ml Alcohol-Free Tincture

    • Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is much more than a herb for an unsettled stomach. This warming rhizome has been used medicinally for thousands of years across traditional medicine systems for digestion, nausea, inflammation, pain and circulation, and remains one of the most widely used medicinal herbs today.

For digestion, Ginger is particularly useful when food seems to sit heavily after eating, with bloating, fullness, sluggish digestion or nausea. Its warming action helps stimulate digestive activity and encourages the stomach to move its contents onwards. Ginger is also one of the best-known herbal medicines for nausea, including morning sickness, and has also been studied alongside conventional anti-nausea treatment during chemotherapy.

Ginger is also a valuable anti-inflammatory and antioxidant herb. Its naturally occurring compounds help reduce inflammatory activity while helping protect cells and tissues from everyday cellular stress. This makes it particularly useful where there is joint or muscle discomfort, stiffness or persistent inflammatory pain. It is also commonly used for period pain, where its warming and anti-inflammatory actions work particularly well together.

Its warming nature also supports circulation, particularly when someone tends to feel cold through the hands and feet or circulation feels sluggish. Ginger has also been studied for its effects on blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides and healthy blood-sugar control, including the way the body responds to insulin.

Ginger also contains naturally occurring compounds with antimicrobial activity and has traditionally been used in immune and respiratory formulas, particularly where there is a cold or congested pattern. Its ability to encourage heat production within the body makes it especially useful when someone feels chilled or wants additional warming support during a cold or respiratory illness.

Energetic qualities: Across traditional herbal medicine, Ginger is considered warming, stimulating and moving. It has a long history of use in both Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine and was later adopted into Western herbal practice. These qualities make it particularly suited where there is sluggish digestion, poor circulation, stiffness or a tendency to feel cold.

      How NatroVital Ginger is Made

We begin with organic Ginger rhizome and use an alcohol extraction process to draw the naturally occurring compounds from the herb. Alcohol is particularly effective for extracting the warming, aromatic and pungent components that give Ginger its characteristic taste and traditional herbal action.

Once extraction is complete, the alcohol is gently removed under vacuum at low temperatures. This allows us to produce a concentrated Ginger extract without exposing the herb to excessive heat. The finished extract is then blended with vegetable glycerine and purified Grander water.

This process gives you the advantages of a traditionally extracted liquid herb while leaving the finished product completely alcohol-free.

Unlike tablets, capsules or powders containing bulk dried Ginger, our liquid extract already contains the compounds drawn from the herb during extraction. It is easy to measure, easy to adjust and contains no synthetic binders, fillers, coatings or artificial ingredients.

Locally Made with Integrity: Every bottle of NatroVital Ginger is made here in Australia in small batches. As a small, independently owned business, we remain closely involved in how our herbs are sourced, extracted and finished, allowing us to maintain control over the quality of every batch we produce.

      Still have questions?

Read our Frequently Asked Questions for dosage information, common combinations and answers to the questions we're most often asked in clinic.

    • What is the recommended dosage for NatroVital Ginger?
The daily adult dose is 2 mL, divided into two serves of 1 mL — one in the morning and one in the evening. One mL is approximately 20 drops. Add each dose to a small glass of water or juice, drink immediately, and swirl the glass to ensure any remaining liquid is also consumed. Dosages may vary depending on individual needs and practitioner guidance.
What We Often Combine with NatroVital Ginger in Clinic

Ginger can be combined with other NatroVital herbs and formulas depending on why it is being used:

      • When digestion feels sluggish, with bloating, fullness or heaviness after meals: Digestive Support.
      • When inflammation, pain or stiffness is more prominent: Inflammatory Support.
      • When cold hands or feet and sluggish peripheral circulation are also present: Ginkgo Biloba.

These combinations reflect traditional herbal practice and our clinical experience and can be adjusted depending on the individual.

Can Ginger be used during pregnancy for morning sickness?

Yes. Ginger is one of the best-studied herbs for nausea during pregnancy and has a long history of use for morning sickness. Research has found that it can help reduce the intensity of nausea, particularly during early pregnancy.

Its benefit appears to be stronger for nausea than for vomiting, making it particularly useful for that persistent queasy or unsettled feeling that can make eating difficult during the first trimester.

Can Ginger help with period pain?

Yes. Ginger can be particularly useful for period pain and cramping. Part of menstrual pain is driven by inflammatory chemicals that increase contractions and discomfort within the uterus, and Ginger helps reduce this inflammatory activity.

Its warming action can also be helpful when period pain is accompanied by cramping, lower abdominal discomfort or a feeling of coldness. Research has found that Ginger can reduce both the intensity and duration of menstrual pain.

Why is Ginger useful for inflammation and pain?

Ginger contains naturally occurring compounds that help reduce the body's production and activity of substances involved in inflammation. This can make it useful when pain is being driven by inflammation rather than simply masking the discomfort.

We commonly think of Ginger where there is aching, stiffness or inflammatory discomfort affecting the joints and muscles. Its warming and circulation-supporting actions can also make it particularly suited to stiffness that feels worse in cold weather or after periods of inactivity.

Can Ginger help support healthy blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure?

Research suggests that regular Ginger intake may help support healthy blood-sugar control, including the way the body responds to insulin. This can help the body move glucose out of the bloodstream and into the cells where it can be used for energy.

Ginger has also been studied for its effects on cardiovascular health. Some studies have found improvements in blood pressure and blood fats, particularly triglycerides, although the results for cholesterol have been less consistent. These actions add another dimension to Ginger beyond its better-known uses for digestion, nausea and inflammation.

Why choose NatroVital over other supplement brands?

NatroVital is a proudly Australian-owned and operated company founded by Greg Newson — a qualified naturopath, herbalist and nutritionist with over 20 years of clinical experience.

Our herbs are produced as concentrated liquid extracts without synthetic binders, fillers, artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. The alcohol used during extraction is removed before bottling, leaving the finished Ginger extract alcohol-free.

Every NatroVital product is produced in small batches at our Australian facility, giving us close control over the herbs, extraction process and ingredients used in the finished product.

Is NatroVital Ginger formulated with any preservatives or artificial ingredients?
No. NatroVital Ginger contains organic Ginger extract in vegetable glycerine and purified Grander water. It contains no alcohol, artificial flavours, colourings, sweeteners or preservatives and is made without animal products, dairy, gluten, wheat, soy, nuts, yeast or corn.
Is NatroVital Ginger suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians?
Yes. NatroVital Ginger is suitable for both Vegans and Vegetarians and contains no animal-derived ingredients.
Are there any contraindications for using NatroVital Ginger?

Ginger (Zingiber officinale) is generally well tolerated, although concentrated herbal extracts may not suit everyone.

Blood-thinning medication: Larger amounts of Ginger may affect platelet activity. Extra caution is appropriate when using warfarin or other anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication.

Gallstones or gallbladder problems: Ginger can stimulate digestive and biliary activity, so concentrated extracts should be used cautiously where gallstones or bile-duct obstruction are known to be present.

Reflux or a very sensitive stomach: Ginger usually assists digestion, but its warming and stimulating nature can occasionally aggravate heartburn or upper digestive burning in sensitive individuals. Reducing the dose or taking it with food may be better tolerated.
